This coffee is from the Wote Konga Washing Station in Wote Konga Kebele from the Yirgacheffe region of Southern Ethiopia. The owner of the mill, Mr. Mergya, employs roughly 100 workers who process roughly 3 containers of coffee per year.
Approximately 800 farmers contribute to this washing station, growing coffee at an altitude of 1800-2200 meters above sea level. Once delivered to the mill, workers meticulously hand sort the cherries before wet processing. Once processed, the coffee is sun dried of raised, African style beds with constant monitoring to ensure the optimal drying time and moisture levels.
