Your monthly coffee adventure awaits
We'll send you—or your loved one, if the subscription is a gift—a 12 oz. (3/4 lb) bag of whole bean coffee each month. The coffee will be one of our choosing, and will be different each month. It may be a special reserve lot coffee, or the coffee that we are really enjoying at the moment.
Each subscription coffee comes with a letter with information about the coffee, where it was grown, how it was processed, and brewing suggestions. Subscription coffee is roasted and shipped on the second Wednesday of each month.
If you're buying this subscription as a gift, please indicate in the notes field in the checkout if you would like the subscription to start in a particular month (we ship subscriptions the second Wednesday of the month). We're also happy to include a card in the first shipment with a custom note, or email you a certificate you can print out to give to your loved one. Just let us know the details and we'll do our best to accommodate.
*Please note: If you choose the recurring monthly subscription, please select the pay by credit card option at checkout. If you choose PayPal, we will not be able to set up recurring payments as we do not have that ability with PayPal.

Quality & Fun

I purchased this subscription as a gift for my wife. It was fun to try different coffees every month but in our case, all 3 months were light coffees. It would have been more fun to have a variety of profiles. Either way I do not regret my gift decision.
Finally my favorite coffee at home.

I've always stocked up on Transcend beans whenever visiting Edmonton. Now I live too far away. I've spent the last few months giving many other types of whole roasted beans a shot - no luck.
The subscription was easy to set up, my beans arrived within 48 hours of being roasted and all is right in my world.
I have the Technivorm Moccamaster, thus combined with my favorite beans makes for a great morning, every morning.
My first beans as part of the subscription were Torea, fresh delicious and true to the description. Thanks Transcend for offering coffee beans by mail!

I like the Ethiopian coffee, the aroma and flavor reminds me of an ice cream cone. A carmel-like creamy taste. A definite pleasure!
Christmas gift for Dad

I got this for my Dad for Christmas last year and continued with the subscription because he loves it so much!

I have been purchasing this gift every year as a Christmas for my mother, she loves it and makes getting the mail a joy.

We have enjoyed the light crisp flavor of this blend, however have found that it does not pack the wake me up punch of our previous coffee choice.
This coffee pairs nicely as an after dinner roast, light enough that you can enjoy a cup of joe before bed.

Ordered the subscription after watching A Film About Coffee. Quality, direct-trade coffee is worth paying a premium for. The subscription is convenient, but the bag won't last a month!

Once I found transcend coffee, I knew I could not go away for the winter without it. Being able to have have a reular shipment is the best!!

I bought a subscription for our anniversary. Since it was on a Thursday, I did not think the coffee would get to our home the day of (we live outside the city limits). But it did arrive! A pleasant surprise for both of us!
I'm rating the coffee received, not the coffee subscription itself

While I love the idea of a coffee subscription, I can't say I was fond of this past month's coffee: Terra Bella Petite. I found it quite bitter and astringent. I use an aeropress to make my coffee, so I feel it's going to make as good a cup of coffee as I can get. I have never had a bitter cup of coffee using it, so I was really surprised to taste it with this coffee. Even my boyfriend (who drinks ANY coffee, I swear!) couldn't finish a cup because he thought it was too bitter (doctored up with cream and sugar, even!). This certainly isn't a coffee I would pay 20+$ for. However, I don't regret getting it because that's what this coffee subscription is all about: experimenting and trying new things. Just because I'm not fond of the coffee doesn't make it a bad coffee, I fully realize that. There are probably as many, if not more, people that loved this coffee and are excited to get their next bag of it. It's just not for me. Looking forward to getting my next bag!
