The best home brewer in the world
Many renowned coffee experts consider the Technivorm Moccamaster line of coffee brewers to simply be the best available. Here's why:
Heats water to the proper temperature of 92 – 94 degrees Celsius (198 - 204 ˚F) and keeps it consistent through the whole brew cycle, ensuring proper flavour extraction from your coffee grounds.
The Technivorm's brew cycle finishes in about six minutes. That's much shorter than other brewers, and better for your coffee.
Not Made in China
Quality of build is extremely important when it comes to your coffee brewer. Each unit is hand-built and tested by ethically treated, well paid and knowledgeable people in The Netherlands (not China), meeting the very highest quality standards. They are imported directly by Transcend Coffee, as we are the Canadian distributor for Technivorm. These machines are incredibly solid, well put-together, and and easy to use. They come with a standard 5-year warranty and will brew your coffee consistently for years and years to come. In fact, some European customers are still using the Technivorm brewer they purchased over 20 years ago!

The Technivorm Moccamaster CD Thermal meets the very strict requirements of both the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) and the Specialty Coffee Association of Europe (SCAE) for coffee brewing quality. This is†something very few coffee makers can claim.
“After brewing gallons of coffee, we had a winner (The Technivorm Moccamaster). It’s utterly consistent: During every cycle, it hit the ideal temperature zone for the optimal length of time, which explains why its coffee was always smooth and full-flavored."
-Cook’s Illustrated - Read the article or watch the video review.
“The Technivorm KB741 coffee maker has a cult following, not least because water is brought to a boil so that grounds steep at an ideal 200 degrees.”
-New York Times
“The (Technivorm) KB 741 was the most powerful of the seven coffeemakers I tried, at 1475 watts. It produced a delicious, superbly balanced cup—the kind I’d want to start my day with. It was also the fastest, producing eight cups in about five minutes."
-Sam Gugino, Wine Spectator
“Handmade in Holland, the Moccamaster coffee machine is beautifully engineered. It maintains optimal temperature (precisely 200 ˚F) throughout its brewing cycle for a difference you’ll taste in your morning cup.”
"How did the coffee (from the Technivorm KBT741) taste? It was hot, sparkling and perfectly extracted."
-Colin Newell at CoffeeCrew.com read the in depth review

Makes good coffee

Nice machine. Lives up to it's reviews. Does what it's supposed to do. Nice to buy something not made in China with a good warranty. Noticeably hotter temperature than my old maker. Like the thermal carafe. It's a breeze to keep everything clean, unlike my old maker and most other makers. Only thing I don't like are the lightweight plastic parts - lids and basket. They seem very cheap and I wonder if they'll stand up if accidentally dropped. Otherwise, it would be a 5 star rating.
great coffee maker but average carafe

thanks for the opportunity to review your product; I should mention that our kids have one and got us interested; my only negative is the pouring spout (or lack of one on our carafe); it's a perpetual dribble cup when you pour coffee and is a nuisance to clean up after every serving; my only suggestion is to make a slight pour spout on this smaller carafe
Best coffee machine I've ever owned

Delicious coffee every time and the thermos carafe allows me to have my second cup in my study where there are no heating facilities
I love the simplicity of the design but I am disappointed that such an expensive machine would have such flimsy plastic parts, i.e. water reservoir lid, brew basket lid & brew basket. And I would have expected such an expensive machine would come with the gold permanent coffee filter. And that is why I gave 4 stars rather than 5. Final note: 5 stars to Transcend Coffee for speedy efficient delivery (received within 2 days wow!!) with personal note inside..
Coffee to Love

I have been using the Technivorm for about 10 days now and although it brews a good cup of coffee, I'm still preferring to buy coffee on the way to work each morning. I was hoping to curb this expensive habit.
Why doesn't the carafe have a pour spout? This is a mystery...
World's best coffee maker

We bought a 10 cup thermo model a few years ago for our mountain home and know it makes the best home brewed coffee bar none. Recently we bought an 8 cup for for our city condo and love it. We also have a Gaggio espresso we love too - and a Nespresso which is the most overrated coffee in the world - just great marketing!

I've enjoyed using and enjoyed the coffee from this unit. My Mother-in-law proclaims it is better coffee than TH's, and for her that is saying something.

I watch the review done by America's Test Kitchen between different coffee maker., and the Moccamaster came on top and it wasn't made in China, that' a what incline me to purchase this coffee maker. I also have a Nespresso Maestra for individual cup, however when I making coffee for mor then 1 person , I use the Moccamaster and am very happy with the result.
... as advertised
