Pour Over Brewing

In this workshop we will cover the basics of using brewers like the Hario V60, Kalita Wave and Chemex coffee makers in a fun and relaxed environment. We will learn about the process of brewing coffee and how factors like the dose, temperature, water, grind size and more all affect the taste of your brew. We take a hands-on approach where you get to do the brewing, share your coffee and talk about it with other home brewing enthusiasts and our qualified trainers. We taste together and talk about how to improve the taste, strength and extraction of your coffee in the next brew. Our goal is to help you taste and evaluate the strength as well as the extraction level of your coffee so that you can make delicious coffee at home everyday. This course is beneficial to both beginners and coffee aficionados alike.

Less than 7 days prior to course - Reschedule only.

If there are no future dates available that you are able to attend, you will receive credit on your account for the amount of the course.

 


*Classes may be cancelled if minimum enrolment of 3 is not met. In the event of cancellation, participants will be notified 48 hours prior to scheduled course date and offered the option of receiving a full refund, or to be moved to a later date.

    I really enjoyed this workshop yesterday. I've been getting into pour overs over the past year and have been making coffee with my Hario V60 and Chemex drippers. I felt I couldn't make a cup of coffee as good as the cafes made them. I used the techniques I learned from the instructor and this morning I was able to make a cup of coffee that was just as good as the cafes. The instructor was extremely knowledgeable and thorough with all the details of making a great balanced cup of pour over coffee. It was a great time nerding out on coffee!
