As Colombia’s war with FARC has drawn to a close, Planadas has emerged as a center for producing high quality coffees. Because the area was relatively isolated from the agro-technical changes encouraged by the FNC and USAID funded groups. This meant that the use of monocropping, heavy fertilizers and pesticides, and high density planting never really took hold here. The timing of the peace agreement with the rise in the specialty coffee market has meant that this area has been ideally suited to quickly adapt to focus on higher quality. AGPROCEM was founded in 2013, and has been growing each year. 58 producers are now involved in the association, and we’re incredibly excited to offer their coffee as a decaffeinated option from our friends at Swiss Water.
Makes Excellent Espresso

Beans are nice & dry (not oily and roasted too hot like so many other decafs). It produces excellent creama with ample body and no spattering, and tastes fruity and toasty. Really nice espresso!
Wonderful aroma! Wonderful taste!

Slightly sweet caramel and nutty taste. Very pleasant!
To enhance the flavor and body of the coffee I use a gold filter, allow the water to drip onto the grounds for approx. 2 minutes before letting it drip into the carafe
