Many renowned coffee experts consider the Technivorm Moccamaster line of coffee brewers to simply be the best available. Here's why:
Heats water to the proper temperature of 92 – 94 degrees Celsius (198 - 204 ˚F) and keeps it consistent through the whole brew cycle, ensuring proper flavour extraction from your coffee grounds.
The Technivorm's brew cycle finishes in about six minutes. That's much shorter than other brewers, and better for your coffee.
Quality of build is extremely important when it comes to your coffee brewer. Each unit is hand-built and tested by ethically treated, well paid and knowledgeable people in The Netherlands (not China), meeting the very highest quality standards. They are imported directly by Transcend Coffee, as we are the Canadian distributor for Technivorm. These machines are incredibly solid, well put-together, and and easy to use. They come with a standard 5-year warranty and will brew your coffee consistently for years and years to come. In fact, some European customers are still using the Technivorm brewer they purchased over 20 years ago!

The Technivorm Moccamaster CD Thermal meets the very strict requirements of both the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) and the Specialty Coffee Association of Europe (SCAE) for coffee brewing quality. This is†something very few coffee makers can claim.
“After brewing gallons of coffee, we had a winner (The Technivorm Moccamaster). It’s utterly consistent: During every cycle, it hit the ideal temperature zone for the optimal length of time, which explains why its coffee was always smooth and full-flavored."
-Cook’s Illustrated - Read the article or watch the video review.
“The Technivorm KB741 coffee maker has a cult following, not least because water is brought to a boil so that grounds steep at an ideal 200 degrees.”
-New York Times
“The (Technivorm) KB 741 was the most powerful of the seven coffeemakers I tried, at 1475 watts. It produced a delicious, superbly balanced cup—the kind I’d want to start my day with. It was also the fastest, producing eight cups in about five minutes."
-Sam Gugino, Wine Spectator
“Handmade in Holland, the Moccamaster coffee machine is beautifully engineered. It maintains optimal temperature (precisely 200 ˚F) throughout its brewing cycle for a difference you’ll taste in your morning cup.”
"How did the coffee (from the Technivorm KBT741) taste? It was hot, sparkling and perfectly extracted."
-Colin Newell at CoffeeCrew.com read the in depth review
The Technivorm Moccamaster KBT 741 is an excellent 10 cup coffee maker to produce 1.25 ltr/ 10 cups of coffee directly into the stainless steel thermojug.

First off.. you have already done your research and know what this coffee machine is and what it does. It does exactly what you expect, it just makes good coffee if you put in good beans.
Transcendcoffee.ca was great to purchase from. I found a price cheaper elsewhere online, but wasn't comfortable with them being a real company or how any problems would be handled. Don't buy from the cheaper, sketchy places, just go ahead and buy from Transcend.. it will come quick and you can trust them.
Okay.. so back to the machine. It does exactly what all the videos and reviews online say. I did read complaints on the carafe, but I don't have any issues with it or with pouring.. it probably COULD be a better design, but it works fine. I think a 5 star product is an absolute perfect product.. this is a 4.5 star, it's almost perfect. I think with a small amount more of engineering, they could make it perfect.
In any event.. if you have come this far and are considering Technivorm, don't hesitate any longer. You cannot go wrong, this machine makes good coffee (again with good beans), and supposedly will last a lifetime.

I love this coffee maker. It is easy to use, easy to maintain, and makes the smoothest coffee that I have ever had in my home. It is also quick and quiet. On the negative side, I would like it to be possible to use both brewed coffee reservoirs in one machine, and I don't think that it would compromise the function of the carafe if they added at least a rudimentary sprout. But these are quibbles. I bought this machine because I like to have the best. The good news is that my wife really likes it too, so the expense is forgiven.

Love the speed ..
Price is too high..
Lid needs a point that shows when it is easiest to pour
There is always a gadget laying around ,lid or device for pot when brewing !

Consistent delicious coffee each and every time!
Hand made, not cheap made in China product.
Good looking on kitchen counter, stainless steel a bonus.
QUIET....can hardly hear it brewing!

It is so amazing. My family loves it. I wished I would have bought this years ago and saved on take-out.
I highly recommend this product to everyone.

We 'discovered' the Technivorm Moccamaster KBT 741 while visiting family recently in Edmonton. We knew immediately that this was the machine we have been waiting for. So, within a week of returning to Ottawa, we had ordered & received our new coffee machine. It has not disappointed & we use it every day. We show it off to our friends & they are, without exception, very impressed. Our only regret: that we didn't find out about it sooner!

Works great but does NOT make much coffee at one time...If you have 5 or more people over you stand there & keep on making coffee...Because it tastes WONDERFUL it goes down quickly!!!!
It also seems to using much more coffee per pot than any other coffee maker I have ever used...Is that the norm!!!!....I DO NOT like the manual drip turn off as it can be left turned on (or off) & then you have a mess.
I also have to manually stir the coffee grinds at the start of the brewing cycle as they don't really seem to get covered very well when you turn the brew cycle on!!! The water just dribbles in the center & does not seem to be disbursed evenly. Could be I received a flawed brewer...I don't know...I think with all the effort they go through to produce this machine it should be PERFECT!!! If I were to make a coffee brewer like this there would be NO negatives!!! We found the carafe is very good BUT you have to warm it up with VERY HOT water before using it.
Hands down, for two people it is a Fantastic brewer... But for the $$$ it costs I could have purchased a pore over cone for a lot less but no way in Hell would it look as SEXY as the KBT741 looks sitting in our kitchen!!!!

This time we did our homework before purchasing a new coffeemaker. The most important criteria was the best cup of coffee possible from a home drip machine and finally we have it. Yes, the KBT741 is pricey but worth every penny. Simple to use with the best possible results. We brew a medium dark organic fair trade coffee that has gone from good in our old burr and grind drip machine to absolute perfection in our moccamaster. If coffee is your passion, then this is the machine for you.

I was very disappointed that the coffee cooled off so quickly. Other
carafes such as my Breville keep the heat much better.

Coffee tastes great. However, I find that the thermal carafe does not keep the coffee as warm as my previous coffee maker, even if I warm it up with hot water before brewing. I am only making 4-6 cups per day. Perhaps the coffee would stay warmer if I made a full pot?
Like the sleek, minimal design. Easy to clean.
