The best home brewer in the world
Many renowned coffee experts consider the Technivorm Moccamaster line of coffee brewers to simply be the best available. Here's why:
Heats water to the proper temperature of 92 – 94 degrees Celsius (198 - 204 ˚F) and keeps it consistent through the whole brew cycle, ensuring proper flavour extraction from your coffee grounds.
The Technivorm's brew cycle finishes in about six minutes. That's much shorter than other brewers, and better for your coffee.
Not Made in China
Quality of build is extremely important when it comes to your coffee brewer. Each unit is hand-built and tested by ethically treated, well paid and knowledgeable people in The Netherlands (not China), meeting the very highest quality standards. They are imported directly by Transcend Coffee, as we are the Canadian distributor for Technivorm. These machines are incredibly solid, well put-together, and and easy to use. They come with a standard 5-year warranty and will brew your coffee consistently for years and years to come. In fact, some European customers are still using the Technivorm brewer they purchased over 20 years ago!
This item qualifies for free shipping anywhere in Canada.
The Technivorm Moccamaster CD Thermal meets the very strict requirements of both the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) and the Specialty Coffee Association of Europe (SCAE) for coffee brewing quality. This is†something very few coffee makers can claim.
“After brewing gallons of coffee, we had a winner (The Technivorm Moccamaster). It’s utterly consistent: During every cycle, it hit the ideal temperature zone for the optimal length of time, which explains why its coffee was always smooth and full-flavored."

“The Technivorm KB741 coffee maker has a cult following, not least because water is brought to a boil so that grounds steep at an ideal 200 degrees.”
-New York Times
“The (Technivorm) KB 741 was the most powerful of the seven coffeemakers I tried, at 1475 watts. It produced a delicious, superbly balanced cup—the kind I’d want to start my day with. It was also the fastest, producing eight cups in about five minutes."
-Sam Gugino, Wine Spectator
“Handmade in Holland, the Moccamaster coffee machine is beautifully engineered. It maintains optimal temperature (precisely 200 ˚F) throughout its brewing cycle for a difference you’ll taste in your morning cup.”
"How did the coffee (from the Technivorm KBT741) taste? It was hot, sparkling and perfectly extracted."

Just an amazing machine. Consistant. Fantastic cups every time. Wish I bought it sooner. I also have a aeropress but this machine is much, much better. Makes my day just to use it.
I was skeptical...

I'm a French press guy and I always have been, from the start. I simply didn't think I could get a machine that would brew a cup of coffee that would give me the flavour I wanted. A part of me was scared away from this machine by the price/lack of perceived features, a part of me was scared away by the marketing. What if "...the way coffee is meant to taste..." was different from what I thought it should taste like?
Long story short, this machine is the promised land. For a potential buyer, it can be difficult to quantify what's so special about it. It warms up water, it drips it on grinds. It fills a pot.
Simply put, It's the attention to detail in the few steps that it performs, that makes it so special. I've always known temperature is important, but the care they take with maintaining consistency has really opened my eyes to just how much something like this affects the final product. As a result, this machine ticks the last box I needed checked. Consistency. My French Press was great, but I got some real duds occasionally. As someone that is clinical about coffee preparation, I was always frustrated with the variability I would see, despite my best efforts.
If you care about your coffee, don't hesitate. This is the real deal, as countless people have said before me.
Great coffee, beautiful design

Works well and looks very nice on the counter. It is a simple machine with only one purpose, making great coffee. Transcend ordering process is very efficient, good packaging...machine was delivered in perfect condition. I give it a 4 star rating because of the price, which is a little high...but from a performance perspective...no doubt it's a 5 star

This must be the 6th or 7th Moccamaster I've purchased. My friends come over for coffee and can't believe how good the coffee is....now I'm a coffee roaster so of course a lot has to do with the beans and our roasting, but you need a coffee maker like the moccamaster to get that water hot enough to produce the desired results. So my friends get hooked and they end up buying one for themselves...it ain't cheap but you get what you pay for.
Great coffee...Great Machine

So I broke down and bought this machine for several reasons but the main one was that it is not made in China...... I am so tired of spending money on throw away items. The machine is very simple to use, easy to clean and makes great strong coffee!! Love it! My husband on the other hand claims the amount of coffee it makes is not enough for the two of us for the mornings. He claims it has too many parts in regards to the coffee pot lid. I see these as minor problems. Love the pot! Just because of hubby's complaints I give it a 4 star.
great coffee brewed

It's a basic machine without bells and whistles that brews tasty coffee.
It would be difficult to improve this coffee maker, it does the job quickly and efficiently.

The coffee brews in total silence that was one of the first things we noticed. The mechanism is slick, as we see within seconds, the water, that is heated from the coils and seen through the clear plastic, beginning to boil. It then drips through 9 holes into the coffee grinds. The coffee tastes 'neat'/'perfect'! Finally a hot cup of coffee that is; not piping hot, not warm, just pleasantly perfectly hot! All coffee makers have old coffee stains in the filter or grounds in the water holder that the filter doesn't pick up. This one has many parts that are cleaned after each brew so they never hold on to old coffee stains or flavours and that is why the coffee tastes so wonderfully fresh every single time. Thank you for your brilliance by inventing this machine.
My Coffee life is now complete !
