Heat
Heats water to the proper temperature of 92 – 94 degrees Celsius (198 - 204 ˚F) and keeps it consistent through the whole brew cycle, ensuring proper flavour extraction from your coffee grounds.

The Technivorm Moccamaster CD Thermal is an excellent 10 cup coffee maker to produce 1.25 ltr/ 10 cups of coffee directly into the stainless steel thermojug.

This product was way more machine than I expected. I have never had a better cup of coffee, except once in Maui, but I betcha if I were to go back to that restaurant I would find a Technivorn Moccamaster in their kitchen.
I am hooked and will never buy another coffee machine from any other company.
If you are like me and doing research on the best kind of coffee maker, look no further you are looking at them.

This is the very best product on the market. I have one and I bought one for my daughter this Christmas- It produces the most delicious coffee as it heats up so quickly and its thermos design prevents the coffee from scorching. I am a chef and after 35 years in the industry - I can testify to the excellence and reliability of this coffee maker.

The best brewer I've owned so far. I love the European design, simple with no bells and whistles. It does what it's supposed to do,
it brews consistently great coffee. The included coffee was also a nice touch and a good way to test the machine with a fine coffee.

I recently purchased The Technivorm CD thermal coffee maker. It had excellent reviews and was promising the world's best cup of coffee, or pretty close. The coffee is as promised.Of the three different types of coffee beans I have tried, all have excellent flavor with no trace of bitterness.
The coffee is produced quickly and is piping hot.I love this machine! It is extremely attractive as well. I am thinking my kitchen is now in need of a renovation as the coffeemaker is just so pretty!
Now the negatives: despite the thermal carafe which is supposed to keep the coffee hot, it doesn't stay hot for long. I have put hot water in prior to making the coffee which helps, but if I expect to have a hot cup of coffee in an hour, I am disappointed.
If that is the only downside, however, I can live with it.

This is a terrific coffee maker! Since receiving the unit two weeks ago, I've used it to brew many pots of coffee using coffee of varied quality –from common, domestic brands found on supermarket shelves to exotic, premium quality coffee produced by speciality coffee houses. The quality of every brew (even the common, domestic brands) is light-years ahead of that produced in lesser consumer level type units. Simply put, it does everything claimed by the manufacturer and does it well.
The coffee maker's simplicity of design and operation is a thing of beauty with the added bonus of having hot, wonderful coffee ready to savour in mere minutes.
The coffee maker arrived at my doorstep three days after placing the order. Included in the box were everything required to make coffee right away: coffee filters and a bag of premium ground coffee. Now, that's what great customer service is all about!

Have had the Technivorm Moccamaster for about 2 weeks. Love how fast the coffee brews. Love the great flavour. Love how hot it gets. Only complaint...wish the carafe kept the coffee hot a little longer...but then, we live in the north where everything is colder.

Slightly hotter

As I did my research into this brewer, and having talked to Bonnie at Transcend (great customer service by the way), I discovered that this unit is just slightly more powerful than the KBT741. I liked the aesthetics of the unit but was glad to find out it had just a little extra heating capacity too.
